Implementation of Thailand's Electronic Visa (e-Visa)

The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai is pleased to announce the launch of Thailand’s Electronic Visa System (e-Visa) in India, featuring an offline payment method.Below are the details:

Effective Date
The e-Visa system will officially come into effect on 1 January 2025


Eligibility and Application Process
1. Eligible Applicants
Applicants residing in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Goa are eligible to apply through the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai.
- Non-Thai nationals applying for all types of visas.
Remarks: The Royal Thai Government has announced a 60-day visa exemption for Indian ordinary passport holders traveling for the purposes of tourism, business engagements, urgent work, or ad-hoc assignments. This exemption has been in effect since 15 July 2024.

2. Application Portal and Submission Methods
- All visa applications must be submitted exclusively through the official e-Visa portal at https://www.thaievisa.go.th using one of the following methods:
- Applications can be submitted directly by the applicants.
- Professional Visa Processing Companies such as BLS International, DU Digital, and VFS Global.
- Travel agencies or representatives.

Offline Payment Options
1. Payment Process
- Visa fees must be paid offline via Demand Draft.
- Payment must be made within 14 days of submitting the online application. The expiry date for the payment period is shown on the offline payment document.

2. Demand Draft Requirements
- Made payable to “Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai”.
- The exact visa fee amount will be detailed in the offline payment document, which is downloadable from the e-Visa system after application submission.

3. Payment Submission Location and Schedule
- Payments must be submitted to the Visa Section of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai, located at Express Tower, Nariman Point,
Mumbai only.
- Payment Timings for Individual Applicants and Travel
Agencies/Representatives: Monday to Friday (excluding Consulate holidays), from 10.00 AM
to 12.00 PM only.

4. Required Documents for Payment Submission
- The Demand Draft must be accompanied by the offline payment document featuring a QR code for processing at the Consulate.

5. Important Note
- Visa fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Processing Time
The processing time is within 14 working days from the date the visa fee is successfully paid


Deadline for Normal Visa Applications (Sticker Visa)
1. Ordinary Passport Holders
- Applications through designated visa processing companies will be accepted
until 16 December 2024.

2. Diplomatic and Official Passport Holders
- Applications submitted directly to the Embassy or Consulate-General will be
accepted until 24 December 2024.
