Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai Meets Thai Community and Thai Students in Pune
 
On 5-6 September 2024, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai, led by Consul-General Mr. Donnawit Poolsawat, along with a delegation from Thailand, met with the Thai community and Thai students in Pune to strengthen relationships and provide guidance on consular services. The Royal Thai Consulate-General organized the following activities:
 
1. Meeting with the Thai Community in Pune
The Royal Thai Consulate-General and the delegation had an informal gathering with the Thai community, which included students, professionals, and other Thai nationals residing in Pune. The participants used this opportunity to ask questions and seek advice on consular services such as visa extensions, document preparation, and legalizations. The Royal Thai Consulate-General reaffirmed its commitment to providing equal services and assistance to all Thai nationals.
 
2. Presentation of the 2024 Volunteer Consul Award
On this occasion, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai presented the 2024 Volunteer Consul Award to Mr. Kritsada Khusakul, owner of Thai House’s Kitchen in Pune, in recognition of his dedication to supporting and assisting the Thai community in the area. The Volunteer Consul Award symbolizes appreciation for individuals who play a vital role in assisting the Consulate's work in delivering consular services and support to Thai nationals abroad.
 
3. Meeting with Indus International School
The delegation met with Mr. Sandeep Chhabra, Principal of Indus International School, and the school's executives to discuss the support provided to Thai students. The school has welcomed Thai students for over a decade. During the meeting, the Consul-General and the delegation emphasized the importance of creating an environment conducive to students' academic and social development, enabling them to adapt to diverse cultures and prepare for their roles as global citizens. Additionally, the delegation met with 27 Thai students currently studying at the school, offering advice on both academics and living abroad.
 
The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai is dedicated to supporting the Thai community within its consular jurisdiction and enhancing cooperation with local institutions and organizations to ensure the wellbeing and quality of life for all Thai nationals living abroad.
