On 21 September 2026, Ms. Siriporn Supanimitwisetkul, Consul-General of Thailand in Mumbai, accompanied by Consulate-General's officials, met with Mr. Hashmukh Parmar, Immigration Officer at the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in Ahmedabad.

Both sides exchanged information on their respective missions and discussed ways to promote consular cooperation to ensure prompt assistance for Thai nationals in Ahmedabad.

 

On the same day, the Consul-General met with Mr. Manish Kulhary, Principal Commissioner of Customs in Ahmedabad. The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on the operations of the Customs Office, including challenges

faced regarding the smuggling of cannabis through Ahmedabad International Airport.

The Consul-General emphasized the Consulate-General’s readiness to cooperate with the Customs Office and proposed establishing a contact point between both sides to facilitate information sharing and closely support the Consulate-General's consular work.
