             On 27 May 2016, The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai has participated “Thai Food Festival” organized by Sofitel BKC Mumbai between 27 May – 5 June 2016. Two Thai chefs from So Sofitel Hotel, Bangkok have been invited to cook Thai dishes and desserts such as Tom Yum, Massaman, and Thai Green Curry. Thai fresh fruits such as rambutan, mangosteen, and longan were also available at the event.

            During the opening ceremony, the Acting Consul-General delivered opening remarks and mentioned that this event is another activity to add to the series of “Thai Food Festival” organized by the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai as well as various hotels across Mumbai. After the remarks, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Mumbai office arranged traditional Thai dancing called “Rabum Thep Ban Terng” and  “Rabum Seng Klong Yao” by Thai Students from University of Pune. TAT has also distributed leaflets and played VDO about Thailand to promote Thai Tourism.
