During 25-29 February 2016, H.E. Gen Surayud Chulanont, (former Prime Minister) Privy Councilor to His Majesty the King had visited Mumbai and participated in the Distinguished Visitor Program organized by Indian Council of Cultural Relations. H.E. Privy Councilor also gave a special lecture on the concept of Sufficiency Economy initiated by His Majesty the Kingof Thailand to the interested Indian audience at the Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai.
