On 5 December 2014, the Royal Thai Consulate-General hosted a celebration on the auspicious occasion of H.M. the King's 87th anniversary birthday and Thai National Day. Consular Corps in Mumbai, High-level officials of the Maharashtra Government and distinctive guests were invited to join the celebration.

On this occasion, Cosul-General delivered his remarks focusing on three points:

1. H.M. the King's devotion to the development of Thailand and well-being of his subjects;

2. the return to normalcy of political situation in Thailand and progress made in reofrming the country; and

3. the cordial relations between Thailand and India which will be further enhanced by realising greater connectivity especially the highway linking Thailand, Myanmar, and India.
