            On 24 - 26 May 2013, Mr. Nat Pinyowattanacheep, Consul-General, and consuls of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai visited Goa to meet with Thai community.  Some 30 Thai people and their families participated in this gathering.

            Consul-General addressed all Thai people and underlined the importance of solidarity among members of Thai community in Goa.  In this occasion, the Consulate-General also serviced the marriage registration of a Thai couple, gave advices on applying for birth certificate and renewal of Thai passport.

            Consul-General and the delegation also met with Mr. R.K. Verma, Principal Secretary, Mr. Parimal Rai, Principal Secretary, and Mr. S.P. Bhat, Managing Director, Economic Development Corporation LTD., Government of Goa, and were briefed on Goa Tourism by Goa Tourism Development Corporation LTD., and on investment opportunities in Goa by EDC.

            Goa has high potentials in tourism sector as the city is rich with beautiful natural tourist destinations.  This is a good opportunity for Thai investors in hospitality business.
