On 1 August 2014, Royal Thai Consulate-General and Tourism Authority of Thailand hosted "Chiang Mai Night in Mumbai" an tourism promotional event for Chiang Mai, the province in the north of Thailand. There were about 150 travel agencies joining. The function received more than 300 guests.

There were series of activities for participants such as business matching, Thai cooking class, Chiang Mai local performances, food and fruit tasting, etc.

On this occasion, the Consulate-General and TAT also updated the agents of the situation in Thailand to boost confidence among them.
