Readers of Travel & Leisure Magazine worldwide voted BANGKOK the World Best City in 2012. This is the third year in a roll for Bangkok to win this title and its fourth time during the last five years. The survey was conducted by the magazine questioning its 30,000 worldwide readers to vote for the best city based on six categories of criterion: (1) beuaty, scenery, greenery and tourist attraction of the city, (2) culture and tradition, (3) foods, (4) shopping facilitaties, (5) friendliness of the people and (6) value for money. 

Winning the award with 89.87 points, Bangkok received the highest score in shopping facilities, friendliness of the people and foods especially street foods. 

In addition, Bangkok also ranked third after London and Paris in the Worldwide Index of Global Destination Cities 2012 survey conducted by MasterCard Worldwide.
