เมื่อวันที่ ๒๔ กันยายน ๒๕๖๗ สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองมุมไบ ได้จัดกิจกรรมจิตอาสาบำเพ็ญสาธารณประโยชน์ “มีแล้วแบ่งปัน” เพื่อเฉลิมพระเกียรติสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง เนื่องในโอกาสวันเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา ๑๒ สิงหาคม ๒๕๖๗ ณ ที่ทำการสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ โดยมีนายดนย์วิศว์ พูลสวัสดิ์ กงสุลใหญ่ฯ เป็นประธานในพิธีมอบสิ่งของจำเป็นสำหรับการประกอบอาหารให้กับหน่วยงาน Roti Bank Foundation องค์กรไม่แสวงหาผลกำไรที่จัดหาอาหารให้แก่ผู้ยากไร้ในเมืองมุมไบและเมืองต่างๆ ในอินเดีย

 

กิจกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการแบ่งปันอาหารแก่กลุ่มผู้ด้อยโอกาส เช่น เด็ก ผู้หญิง ผู้ป่วย และคนยากจน โดยหน่วยงาน Roti Bank Foundation ได้แจกจ่ายอาหารให้แก่ผู้ยากไร้กว่า ๗,๐๐๐ ถึง ๘,๐๐๐ คนต่อวัน ในสถานที่ต่าง ๆ เช่น ชุมชนแออัด สถานเลี้ยงเด็กกำพร้า บ้านพักคนชรา และโรงพยาบาล

 

ในการนี้ ข้าราชการและเจ้าหน้าที่สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมจิตอาสาอย่างพร้อมเพรียง พร้อมทั้งได้รับการกล่าวขอบคุณจากตัวแทนองค์กร Roti Bank Foundation ซึ่งได้ถวายพระพรชัยมงคลแด่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว และพระบรมวงศานุวงศ์ทุกพระองค์ด้วย

The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai Organizes a Royal Volunteer Activity in Honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother

 

On 24 September 2024, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai organized a royal volunteer activity to honor Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, on the occasion of her birthday on 12 August 2024. The event took place at the Consulate’s premises, presided over by H.E. Mr. Donnawit Poolsawat, Consul-General. Essential food items were donated to Roti Bank Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides food to the underprivileged in Mumbai and other cities across India.

 

The activity aimed to support the provision of meals to disadvantaged groups, including children, women, patients, and the poor. Roti Bank Foundation distributes food to over 7,000 to 8,000 individuals daily in various locations such as slums, orphanages, elderly homes, and hospitals.

 

Officials and staff of the Consulate-General participated in the event, contributing to the volunteer spirit. The General Manager of Roti Bank Foundation, Mr. Tambe, expressed his gratitude and extended his best wishes to His Majesty the King and the Royal Family of Thailand.
